The following announcement from The Rt Revd Dr John Thomson Bishop of Selby was read out during worship on Sunday 10th December 2023. 

‘I am delighted that Revd Mark Poskitt has accepted the role of the post of Priest in Charge of the parishes of Carlton and Drax, Hambleton and Haddlesey. Mark has a deep love for Yorkshire having served in East and West Yorkshire as well as Leicestershire. He has significant experience of rural mission and ministry as well as having been an Area Dean and will be an asset to the parishes and Deanery of Selby.’ 

Revd Mark Poskitt says of his appointment ‘I’m very much looking forward to serving in these two Benefices. I pray that together we may grow in faithful service and that the love of God may shine in and through our lives.‘ 

The Licensing Service will take place on the 6th March 2024.
