Baptism

How can I have my baby christened/baptised in St Mary’s Church Hambleton?

Christening/Baptism Services at St Mary’s Church in Hambleton are services for all the family. They take place on the first or third Sunday (by arrangement). The service lasts for about 40-45 minutes and includes a mix of songs and readings, a short talk and the Baptism itself.

What is Baptism? It is about you saying thank you to God for the safe arrival of your new child. It’s about you promising to bring your child up to follow Jesus and it’s about us all welcoming your child into the church.

Yes! We have Family Church Services on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sundays of each month at 3:30pm. and there is an area where children are able to read,  draw or play quietly during the service.
