Baptism

How can I have my baby christened/baptised in St Mary’s Church Hambleton?

Christening/Baptism Services at St Mary’s Church in Hambleton are services for all the family. They take place on the first or third Sunday (by arrangement). The service lasts for about 40-45 minutes and may includes a mix of songs and readings, a short talk and the Baptism itself.

What is Baptism? It is about you saying thank you to God for the safe arrival of your new child. It’s about you promising to bring your child up to follow Jesus and it’s about us all welcoming your child into the church.
