How can I have my baby christened/baptised in St Mary’s Church Hambleton?
Christening/Baptism Services at St Mary’s Church in Hambleton are informal services for all the family. They take place at 3:30pm on the first Sunday (by arrangement with the Vicar). The service lasts for about 40-45 minutes and includes a mix of songs and readings, a short talk and the Baptism itself.
What is Baptism? It is about you saying thank you to God for the safe arrival of your new child. It’s about you promising to bring your child up to follow Jesus and it’s about us all welcoming your child into the church.
How can I book a Baptism for my child? You need to contact Rev’d Anna Burr on 01757 270325 or email her on email@example.com
Rev’d Anna will arrange to see you to talk about your child’s service.

Is there anything else for families in St. Mary’s?
Yes! We have Family Church [formally Café Church] on the 3rd Sunday of every month at 3:30pm. This is an informal gathering for children, parents, grandparents and everyone to chat, think about life and families and share our thoughts (but only if you want to). There will be an area for children to play and for the adults to relax before the strains of the week force themselves on all of us.
We also have a Teddy Bear’s picnic for young children during the summer, a Harvest Festival in the Autumn, a Christingle service in December, a Mothering Sunday Service in March and several other special services throughout the year for the whole family.
